Molly’s Eco-Friendly Donut Decorating Fairy and Pixie Party

Molly’s Eco-Friendly Donut Decorating Fairy and Pixie Party

Fairy and pixie parties are so magical, the whimsy leaves a sparkle in everyone’s eye…

Molly’s mum Britta was eager to not only make Molly’s party one to remember but to make sure it was eco-friendly. If you haven’t already heard of the online eco party store Partyora, let me tell you… you’re missing out! I couldn’t even believe this level of awesomeness existed; they make being eco-friendly a breeze even for the non-Martha Stewart spec mum. The one stop shop ensures making a few eco-switches easy-peasy and who doesn’t want to feel like an eco-queen. Molly’s mum used beeswax candles, an eco-friendly pass the parcel, giftbags, eco-friendly confetti and scored Molly’s fairy wand all on the Partyora site (online shopping win!).

Honestly, this cake with these candles = total cake goals! So simple and effective!

For the main party activity Britta used a custom DIY donut baking and decorating party kit from us at Hungry Homer Donuts and requested soft pinks, neutrals, a touch of gold and flowers. The night before the party she baked the donuts (this was as quick as a jiffy, only 10 minutes baking time!).

On the day she set the donuts up on a table with the icings which she melted in the microwave (big yes on the easy party front right!), the beautiful decorations and real edible yellow freeze-dried pansies alongside a cute little poem written by copy writing genius Kin Copy Co.

The festivities began with the children each designing their donut creations using the planning sheets which come as part of the DIY donut baking and decorating kits.

They then moved onto icing and decorating their donuts, look at that magic coming to life!

The custom DIY donut baking and decorating kit selected came with recyclable donut carry cases for each guest to take some of their creations home at the end of the party. Each case was decorated with floral graphics by Sophia J Caldwell. Another cute party idea is to let the children each decorate their own carry case using eco crayons and natural collage materials such as dried flowers and eco glitter.

Alongside the main donut making activity was a gorgeous set up of serve wear for the treat table and florals by The Gathering Bee, if you’re in the Brisbane area hit them up to make your next event’s food styling a breeze (who doesn’t love that!).

Here is what Molly’s mum Britta had to say about her custom DIY donut baking and decorating kit:

“We used a party kit for our daughter's 6th birthday and it was the biggest hit! The kids all LOVED decorating their donuts (which we premade the night before) and popping them into their own little carriers to take home as favours. We love how much thought has gone into every little bit of packaging and delivery to make our environment just that little bit happier! The donuts themselves taste AMAZING with those traditional spices. You'll have 0 regrets after ordering any of the hungry homer kits!”
